The maca plant, referred to as Peruvian ginseng, mainly grows in the Andes of central Peru, in harsh conditions and at very high altitudes – above 13,000 feet (4,000 meters). Maca is a cruciferous vegetable and has a long history of culinary and medicinal use in Peru. Maca may restore reduced sexual desire for both genders. Maca root increases men’s fertility by enhancing sperm quality and quantity. It also helps alleviate menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, interrupted sleep and irritability. Maca may reduce anxiety and depression, to enhance one’s mood. It also may help increase muscular strength and boost energy, to improve exercise/endurance performance. Caution should be used to take only proper dose of maca, in case of consumers having problems in thyroid glands or estrogen-related illnesses such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, or uterine cancer.
For adults, take one (1) capsule daily, preferably with meals.
